Planar Truss

Led and owned design and manufacturing of a planar truss from eighth-inch MDF. Performed stress analysis and calculated relative stress on each member of the truss, then scaled the size of members to balance stress distribution. Truss supported 200+ pounds of weight, despite weighing only 268g. Failure was due to shearing of metal fasteners, rather than MDF members.
